Kick-off the project. The meeting was held by University of Lodz in Poland. The main goal of the first meeting was to plan all tasks and start the hard work.
The first workshop took place in Pietarsaari in Finland. All partners arrived with students and mentors, we had 49 students and 8 mentors. Students in 10 groups start the work on gamification projects. The theme of the event was “help the eldery people”. It was not an easy goal to create mobile games that helps seniors in local society, however students were able to create nice 8 prototypes of such applications. We should thank the company RaiSoft for help in this not easy task.
Transnational meeting in Dundalk Institute of Technology. It is time to review the event in Pietarsaari and assess the direction we are going. In these two days we made also plans for future.
The second workshop in Antwerp in Belgium. This time we had 43 students divided in 10 groups. The theme “move the people” was proposed by City of Antwerp, our event partner. Do you know that almost 30% of Antwerp society do not move? They use only cars, motorbikes and live very stationary live. That is why this event main goal was to create games that will make people walk, run or bike more. At the end groups presented nice 10 prototypes. Films of this presentations are available on our facebook group Geniusgamedev.
The meeting will be a summary of what we have achieved. What the methodology of events for schools, universities and companies allows for.
